Painting is a meditation for me. To become immersed in an idea and attempt to control the medium while remaining expressive and free is challenging. My hope is that the resulting artwork conveys the feeling of the moment in which it was created.

Mainly self-taught, I have been painting for many years, experimenting with different mediums, subjects and styles. A few years ago, I began studying watercolor painting, which has taught me to be more spontaneous in my art. Watercolor is so wonderful partly because it cannot be completely controlled. The artist must accept and embrace the unexpected.

Staying inspired and excited about painting is, I think, the biggest challenge for an artist. Fortunately, there is so much in the world that does inspire me to paint. I draw on my years of interior design and interest in architecture for some of my ideas. I love to create landscape, cityscape, still-life, portrait, and abstract paintings.
Original and GiclÉe Images - Options for the collector
I have had very high quality giclee prints of many of my works created by Giclee By The Bay, in Morro Bay. Each image is photographed with the "Better Light" camera system for an exceptional reproduction and is printed to the highest standards, using state-of-the-art printers and the finest canvas. The image is finished with a protective varnish and is hand-stretched. The prints are set as a Limited Edition of 100, each with four (4) "Artist Proof" images. Each original and giclee is accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
